Oatlands College is a Voluntary Catholic school for boys in Mount Merrion, in South County Dublin. The College, founded by the Christian Brothers in 1951, is under the Trusteeship of the Edmund Rice Schools Trust (ERST), and is guided by the religious and educational philosophy of the ERST Charter.

The College provides an academic education in a broad range of subjects for boys aged 12-19 years, and has an extensive extra-curricular programme that strives to develop the talents and abilities of all students. The Board of Management, Staff, Student Council, Parents’ Council and Past-Pupils’ Union work together on behalf of the Oatlands College Community to create a learning organisation that places the student at the centre of a safe and happy school environment.

Oatlands College aims to create a positive environment for teaching and learning. The overall objective is to remove low-level misbehaviour by focusing on recognizing, endorsing and rewarding good behaviour in the different teaching groups and individuals within those groups.

Oatlands College is an Anti-Bullying school, and has a proactive programme in place, with zero tolerance for bullying. The Pastoral Care Programme consists of Class Tutors, Year Heads, and the Care Team consisting of the Principal, Deputy Principal, Year Heads, Guidance Counsellor, and Special Needs Co-Ordinator, placing the individual student at the heart of our school.
