In September 1972, following several transformations, St. Fintan's began his career as a school in its new location overlooking Dublin Bay, which continues until today. Turning now to a student population of 674 students and over 40 teachers, would in many ways almost unrecognizable from its inception.

However, the traditions and core values ​​of St. Fintan's High School have not changed much over the past. Now under the trusteeship of ERST, the Edmund Rice Schools Trust, St. Fintan's seeks to promote full personal and social development within a comprehensive Christian community.

Teaching and learning occupy a place of honor in the curriculum of this school, and St. Fintan's is proud of its strong academic tradition. A major emphasis in sports has been equally distinctive education in St. Fintan's and, with 12 competitive sports, has earned a reputation as one of the first secondary schools in Dublin in this area. Excellence in music and art is also strongly encouraged and promoted, offering a broad curriculum that meets the many needs of its diverse student population.

St. Fintan's deeply appreciates all that is valuable and unique to each student, and seeks to support all students as they prepare to find their place in a world where they can lead happy satisfying lives and rewarding.
