St. Michael's Holy Faith Secondary School - Dublin
St. Michael’s Holy Faith Secondary School, which is situated on Wellmount Road, Finglas, is a non-selective Catholic Voluntary Secondary School for girls. The school is under the trusteeship of the Le Chéíle Trust and supports the religious and educational philosophy of the Holy Faith order foundress.
St Michael’s opened in 1959 and the present school buildings incluye, St. Michael’s Building, St. Margaret’s Building and a Sports Hall (Opened 2006)
Their Facilities Include an oratory, Music Room, Computer Laboratories (2), Science Laboratories (3), Home Economics Kitchens (2), Sewing Room, Study Centre, Social Areas, Library, Bistro with subsidised healthy food available at morning and lunch break.
Their pastoral care programme, reflecting the Holy faith ethos, extends throughout the school. Pastoral care is organised on the basis of a Year Head and Class Tutor system. Each year group is assigned a Year Head whose role is supervisory and caring. Each class is assigned a Class Tutor who takes special interest in the welfare and progress of each student. The Class Tutor works closely with the Year Head, the Deputy Principal and Principal, as well as with the school’s Guidance Counsellors, who are available to support and advise students and parents/guardians when necessary.
