St. Colmcille’s is a community school. The school operates within the regulations laid dow by the Department of Education and Science including class sizes. The school follows the curricular programmes prescribed by the Department of Education.
St Colmcille’s is a co-educational, 2nd level school established in the year 2000 on a greenfield site on the Scholarstown Road in the heart of Knocklyon. The vision of this community in seeking a 2nd level school was to retain its most valuable asset, its young people, in the local area.
They are truly belssed that the Carmelite community committed to be trustees of our school and They value their vision and spiritual guidance in developing our ethos. Their continued partnership with us contributes significantly to the quality of the educational experience here at St. Colmcille’s.
